Breakfast

A healthy tropical breakfast is included in your stay and served in the restaurant/bar from 7:00 am – 11:00 am. Come by anytime in the morning — no rush.

House Guidelines

  • Please don’t smoke in the rooms — outdoor areas are available. A cleaning fee applies for smoking indoors.
  • Check-out is at 11:00 am. If you’d like to stay a little longer, just ask us at reception and we’ll help if possible.
  • Quiet hours: We ask guests to keep things peaceful after 10pm, so everyone can rest easy.

Air Conditioning

For your comfort, the AC is there when you need it. Please keep doors closed and switch it off when you’re out to help us conserve electricity in the area.

Beach Towels

Striped towels in your room are for beach days. Please return them each evening — lost towels will be charged at check-out.

Bedding & Linen

We will change your bedding every 3 days
If you’d like them freshened up sooner, please place the frog on your bed in the morning and we will freshen it up. He can usually be found on the table close to the water glasses.

Doctor/pharmacy

If you need a doctor please contact reception, and we will be happy to arrange transport for you to a local clinic. There are also local pharmacies near by so if you are not well and need something delivered, please do not hesitate to ask.

Drinking Water

To reduce plastic and rubbish in the area, you will find a mineral water dispenser in your room. When it becomes empty please let us know and we will refill it for you. Bottled water in recyclable/refillable glass bottles is also available from the cafe if you would like to take a bottle out with you.

Evenings

Reception is open from 7am – 10pm each day. Please whatsapp or call if you need anything. We also have night security on duty.

Housekeeping

  • Hang the “Please Clean My Room” sign outside if you’d like your room checked.
  • Use the “Do Not Disturb” sign if you’d prefer not to be disturbed.
  • Please reuse your towels and hang them up to dry. Towels will be changed with bedding after 3 days. If you’d like them replaced before then, please leave them on the floor mat.

HOT WATER/ SHOWeR

There is no mains water connection in small villages like Palolem, so our water comes from a ground water well. We need to conserve water as much as possible to make sure there is enough to last the dry season. Please do not leave the taps running for any length of time when not in use.

The hot water is on the left side tap for the shower. Cold on the right.

Keys

Please keep your key safe. Lost keys incur a ₹1000 replacement fee.

Laundry

You will find a laundry basket in your room which will be sent to our local laundry lady for washing at reasonable rates. Please keep your laundry in the bag in the basket and bring the bag to reception in the morning and we will usually have it cleaned and returned back to you within 24 hours weather permitting.

MASSAGE

We have a variety of Ayurvedic massages available in the massage tent close to the yoga shala. Please book your massage at reception in advance to ensure your booking. Massages can be added to your room bill and paid upon check out.

Scooter or Bike Hire

Want to explore? Reception can arrange scooters, rickshaws, taxis, or tours around Goa.

DRIVING IN GOA: Please keep in mind that driving in India can be a different experience to your home. Driving is generally very fluid and it is best to expect that anything might happen at any time. The right of way generally belongs to the biggest vehicle on the road or to whoever goes first. People generally expect that other drivers will make way for them, but are also patient of others who drive in front of them, and in this way there is a mutual tolerance amongst all drivers. Take extra care what is going on in front of you, and do not worry too much what is happening behind you. Being considerate of other drivers will make travelling more enjoyable and easier to understand.

Smoking

Please do not smoke inside the rooms — a ₹2000 fee applies if so. If you would like to smoke on the balcony please request an ashtry and we will bring one for you.

SUN

The sun in Goa can be deceptively strong. Please make sure to wear sunscreen when your skin is exposed. This is especially important at the beach between the hours of 11am – 3pm to avoid sun burn which can be very painful.

TIPPING

Our staff work very hard as a team to ensure that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Tips are not necessary but are always greatly appreciated. To keep tipping fair, we have a Tip Box in the cafe and in reception from where tips are distributed equally to all non management staff members, including the ones you don’t see, doing wonderful work behind the scenes.

YOGA

Drop in yoga classes are held in the Yoga Shala beside the reception area.  Please check the yoga schedule on our website to check what days we have classes available. Classes are 500 per person for 90 minute class. Classes can be added to your room bill and paid upon check out.

PRIVATE YOGA CLASSES

To arrange a private or group yoga class please contact reception who will make arrangements for you based on your yoga preference.
